Some Things New Under the Moon and Stars

Some Things New Under the Moon and Stars

The North Carolina Zoo Society is offering two new, after-hours programs at the Zoo this spring.

April 16 – Early Evening Wolf Howl  – Sorry, sold Out!
This program will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 16, 2022 and will welcome guests to learn about wolves and to take a short hike into the Park to (we hope) hear them howl. (Spoiler Alert: Guests may also hear lions roaring, frogs singing, or bison snorting during this adventure.) This special venue VIP adventure is intended for adults and for children 10 years old or older. The program will last approximately 2 hours. Participants should arrive dressed for the weather and should wear comfortable shoes.

Guests will enter the Zoo through the North America Entrance and will walk to the wolf exhibit with our zookeeper guides.

Cost for this event is $100 for each member and $115 for each non-member.

June 4 – Starlight Safari
This program is slated for June 4, 2022 and will begin at 8:30 p.m., just moments before the sun slips below the horizon and the evening’s brightest stars begin to make their appearance. Volunteers from Greensboro’s Astronomy Club will be on-hand with telescopes and binoculars to give our guests a tour of the night sky. Visitors can also join  us for a short hike into the Park to hear and maybe see a few African animals. Children must to 10 years old or older to attend. Please expect to spend about 2 hours at this nighttime event.

Guests will begin the program by boarding a bus parked in the North American parking lot.

Cost for this event is $100 for each member and $115 for each non-member.

Please visit the NC Zoo Society Store to purchase your member and non-member tickets.
