Join the North Carolina Zoo Society Online and Use Your Email Receipt as Proof of Membership Until Your Card Arrives!

If you buy your membership in our web store, it will automatically email a receipt to confirm your purchase. You can use this receipt to enter the North Carolina Zoo as a member while you are waiting for your membership card to arrive in the mail. If you purchase your membership from our online store and you do not receive an email receipt, check your spam or junk folder, it may have landed there. If the receipt is not in your spam folder, you can email Jparker@nczoo.com to ask her to resend a copy of the email receipt you should have received from your online purchase.

If you purchased your membership over the phone, by mail, or during a zoo visit, you must call the Zoo Society office to ask for a receipt. The phone number is 336-879-7250. The Society office is open Monday - Friday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m) excluding major holidays.

Membership Notes

What to Expect:
The Zoo Society will mail a membership card to you once your order is processed. The card should arrive within 20 days after you make your purchase. Put it in a safe place, you will need it to visit a reciprocating zoo or aquarium. Please call us (336.879.7250) to alert us if your card has not arrived within three weeks.

A 20 percent discount is available to people 62 years old or older.

To receive this discount, call the Zoo Society (336-879-7250) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Senior discounts are not available on the Web and may not be combined with other discounts.

* Many institutions limit the number of free and discounted admissions allowed on a reciprocating facility's membership cards. Usually, this limit admits only two adults and two children on a family or higher membership level. "Plus" and "add-on" membership options that let you bring a guest or guests into the NC Zoo free are not honored by our reciprocating partners. The Zoo Society's Corporate Members are not granted free admission at reciprocating facilities.

Membership does not provide free admission to special activities, such as the carousel, the Giraffe Feeding Deck, or other experiences that charge a fee inside the NC Zoo.
